With Entrepreneurs de la Cité, a foundation officially created on May 31st, 2006, at the Entrepreneurs Trade Fair in Lyons, APRIL GROUP has manifested its commitment to helping disadvantaged people wishing to create their own small business.
By creating the very first foundation to offer insurance specially designed for entrepreneurs in difficulty, we contribute to the durability of small businesses. We promote enterprise by insuring it, but also thanks to the volunteers who work within the foundation.
Micro-insurance provides the essential cover required by the largest part of the target population in terms of personal protection, health and comprehensive professional insurance. Through sponsorship action taken for the Foundation, this micro-insurance costs the entrepreneur less than one euro a day. This offer is extended via business development networks such as ADIE, France Active, France Initiative and the Réseau des Boutiques de Gestion.

I called Entrepreneurs de la Cité and explained our situation. We then received a clearly explained subscription form that enabled us to take out insurance for our premises and for work stoppage. The foundation’s price was already very attractive and included a whole set of insurance cover, a sort of start-up package for new businesses, which avoids having to contact several companies for any type of insurance. (2’58) We had already sought quotes for our premises, and broken windows was one of our main problems. However, Entrepreneurs de la Cité covered it at low cost and we were able to insure all the rest as well.
