Disability

At APRIL GROUP, we have been firmly committed to the professional integration of disabled workers since November 2004. We take part in events and take this issue into account when organising our recruitment.

Driven by the “Employment and Disability” workshop, our initiative in favour of integrating the disabled is not only implemented via recruitment, but also by stepping up relations with the sheltered environment (vocational rehabilitation centres and disability-friendly companies).

En 2008

In-house awareness-raising:

Inside APRIL University, training and awareness days provided recruitment officers and managers with the opportunity to compare their experiences and to improve their recruitment, integration and management practices relating to disabled staff.

Different communication tools (Intranet, film, flyers) are used to inform subsidiaries and help them communicate on the Employment and Disability project.

Awareness-raising actions (conference, play, exhibition…) were organised within different companies to share their experience of integrating disabled people into their teams.

APRIL group takes action alongside external partners:

By joining the Rhône-Alpes Steering Committee of the 12th national week for the employment of disabled people organised by ADAPT.

By taking part in the operation “one day, one job in action” organised by the AGEFIPH.

By attending the “Employment Village” at the AUTONOMIC Fair in Paris.

By pursuing the partnership with the AFIJ, whereby the group recruitment officers coach disabled students to improve their job interviewing skills.

For its policyholders, APRIL GROUP has stepped up its commitment by developing LIBR’HANDI, an insurance broker dedicated to a complete product range tailored to the insurance needs of disabled people.

In 2007

A Radio Conference was held to inform Senior Executives of the goals and measures taken within the group with regard to disability.

Backstage breakfast sessions were attended by 110 members of staff who were thus informed about the APRIL GROUP’s corporate citizen policy. They were able to share their experience of integrating disabled people into their teams.
